Job Description
This individual will work with a high performance team in assisting with the establishment of a robust test automation framework that supports the development of applications for our mobile, web and in-house systems. This individual will work to create test automation frameworks and programming needed for development initiatives. S/he has the responsibility to support the engineering teams to utilize solutions and adopt an automation engineering practice. S/he displays poise and maturity in task completion and personal interactions, acknowledges his or her own responsibility and accountability, and does not attempt to transfer fault, blame others or rationalize his or her own missing performance. This individual has a working knowledge of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) concepts and practices to continually provide tools for the software delivery teams. S/he will ensure sufficient technical test coverage for all projects that are small to medium in complexity. Understands and supports the developer team fundamentals. This individual will communicate effectively with the architects, developers and with Information Technology leadership. S/he has excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills and the ability/flexibility to respond to and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing collaborative team environment. This individual has the ability to resolve team conflicts and determine resolutions to issues proactively. S/he will work with others to determine priorities. S/he will make deadlines and commitments and gain and maintain a moderate level of insurance knowledge of all products in the Company’s book of business. S/he will enroll in courses and self-study to keep up with new technologies and new developments in the system verification automation field; collaborate with peers. S/he will use the individual development plan and is instrumental in helping others to become stronger technical system engineers. S/he has strong problem solving skills and both the ability and desire to learn new technologies rapidly. S/he will enroll and complete continuing education programs in both Professional and Personal Development as outlined in annual Training and Development Plan. This individual is expected to mentor and support other team members and enable small team success. S/he can work independently and make decisions effectively. Recommends automated testing methods and procedures. Demonstrates innovative thinking to solve technology issues as well as the ability to solve problems. Experience in either Java or C#, experience with implementing test automation within a continuous integration environment i.e.Azure DevOps. Experience using test automation frameworks for load, performance and security i.e. Mercury LoadRunner, Apache JMeter and AppSpider. Experience in either Java or C#, and SQL. Experience with implementing test automation within a continuous integration environment i.e.Azure DevOps. Some experience using test automation frameworks for web, load, performance and security i.e. Selenium, Mercury LoadRunner, Apache JMeter and AppSpider. Experience with Robot Framework, DevOps Tools, Jira, TFS. Has knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies. College Degree or equivalent industry/technical experience. Individual has a minimum of 2+ years of experience with Web based, client server and customer facing applications. Has experience in test automation frameworks and programming. Able to design and perform test execution on all tests if needed. Has strong communication skills. Has strong problem solving skills and the ability and desire to learn new technologies rapidly. Has the interpersonal skills to work within a team. Demonstrates innovative thinking to solve technology issues as well as the ability to solve problems. Can work independently and make decisions effectively. Working Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some overtime work as needed.
