Job Description
This individual will work with a high performance team in designing and modifying databases for our web and in-house systems. This individual will create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical database models, and will work closely with development teams, DBA’s, and Architects across on premise and cloud database solutions.

Collaborate with developers on SQL development, providing guidance and best practices, including table design, normalization, and stored procedure development. Participate in database code reviews, maintaining and enforcing database coding standards alongside fellow DBA’s and developers. Research, test and employ database and query tuning techniques to maximize database performance. Work with DevOps team to enhance database source control and deployment capabilities. Understand and work with data in varying degrees of complexity and scale. Work with team to prioritize work load and communicate status of work. Work with team leaders to establish targets for completion and status reports. Make deadlines and commitments.

This individual should have demonstrated experience with the SQL Server platform, including:
• Database design, implementation, administration, and tuning
• Developing data and database solutions in support of application development teams
• System architecture and optimization, including development within clustered and high availability solutions
• Distributed data solutions and replication strategies

The following experience is a plus:
• Versioning and automated database deployments
• Experience with Azure cloud database services, including SQL PaaS and Cosmos DB

Analyze the database schemas involved and develop approach for accessing and updating data as required. Coordinate the implementation of database application components. Understands the purpose of the data so that they can determine database schemas, make recommendations to developers, define layout of databases.

Minimum Job Requirements:
College Degree or equivalent industry/technical experience. 5+ years’ experience with SQL Server database design and development. Knowledge of and experience with relational and NoSQL database development. Specializes in database programming. Familiar with database source control and code/schema promotion. Experience with database administration in a development environment. Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with SQL Server 2008/2014/2016/2017, distributed applications, C# and/or VB.NET.

Working Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some overtime work as needed.
