Job Description

Please note: A minimum of three years of full-time work experience in a design role is required with an online portfolio. This is not an entry-level position. This is an on-site role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide original design, customization of templates, overall enhancements, and updates to websites through wireframing, prototyping, and interactive concepts
  • Create internal and external marketing materials for web/digital and print — including websites, presentations, social banners, print collateral, emails, applications and forms, etc.
  • Provide graphic design elements, illustrations, and infographics
  • Support the planning and execution of promotional activities that require design/creative

Ongoing Duties:
Work with Director of Design and Corporate Communications Team to:
  • Support customer marketing initiatives
  • Ensure smooth project delivery to web developers
  • Maintain consistency with and evolve the USLI brand identity
  • Meet goals, service standards and maintain brand aesthetic and guidelines
  • QA your deliverables: sharp attention to detail, quality and thoroughness
  • Properly manage, organize and maintain visual assetsAll others as assigned
  • College degree in Web, Graphic or Communication Design or equivalent experience
  • HTML and CSS proficiency (JavaScript, JQuery, WordPress, HTML 5, and CSS3 are plusses)
  • Understanding of user experience and usability principles
  • Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver proficiency (Lightroom and After Effects are plusses)
  • PowerPoint intermediate level
  • Pre-press and production of promotional materials for print and digital media
  • High level of creativity
  • Strong design and conceptual development skills — sense of design principles such as color, layout, imagery, typography, and composition
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media visual design
  • Excellent communication and management of expectations: experience with interaction with colleagues and customers, juggling multiple projects and priorities, and meeting both long-term and tight deadlines
  • Drawing, illustrating, photography skills all plusses

Working Conditions:
Be ready to work before 9 a.m. through 5 p.m., as well as evenings and weekends on emergency or planned bases.
