Job Description

This individual will work with team leaders for some direction on the design and implementation of products and their database architecture.  Implement the design and architecture of the product line.  Follow team commandments.  Utilize corporate common components and follow our architectural standards.  Maintain and enhance existing computer systems on multiple platforms, including changes to rates, forms and eligibility.  Work with team leaders for direction on the design and implementation of products and their database architecture.  Implement the design and architecture of the product line.  Follow team commandments.  Utilize corporate common components and follow our architectural standards.  Maintain and enhance existing computer systems on multiple platforms, including changes to rates, forms and eligibility.  Communicate openly with leadership, end users and Technology Team members.  Work with other developers in the creation of programming modules desired by different teams/departments.  Provide data analysis as requested by leader and provide tools to allow end users to generate their own data analysis.  Periodic review of job queue working with team leaders to prioritize work load.  Communicate thorough status to Technology leadership and end user leadership through team leaders.  Work with team leaders to establish targets for completion and status reports.  Make deadlines and commitments.

Insurance Education:  Gain and maintain thorough knowledge of owned product line and general knowledge of all products in Company’s book of business.  Enroll in courses and self-study to keep up with new technologies and new developments in the software development field; collaborate with peers; use individual development plan.  Enroll and complete continuing education programs in both Professional and Personal Development as outlined in annual Training and Development Plan.  Specific Skills: ASP/ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Object Oriented Design/Development, VB/VB.NET, Agile/SCRUM, JavaScript/jQuery/jSON, Knockout.js, Angular.js, HTML 5, SQL Server, SQL/XML, Emerging Microsoft technologies.  Working Hours:  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Some overtime work as needed.
