Job Description
Essential Functions: 
Issue insurance policies in accordance with underwriting and customer requests. Ensure proper coverage forms, premium and policy details are specified. Enter policy information into company issuance system in accordance with established quality and time service promises. Follow all specific issuance guidelines. Review applicable paperwork for any changes and/or additional coverages not shown on initial insurance binder. Resolve issuance questions with our customers, underwriting assistants, and underwriters. Handle customer inquiries and service issues professionally and within company established standards. Document all correspondence and discussions relating to the issuance of a policy. Review quote for any inspection or audit requirements and follow through with required procedures. Maintain log of “policies not issued” and work with underwriting and/or our customers to resolve or obtain outstanding information and issue policies in a timely manner.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Policy issuers are expected to cross-train with existing team members on multiple lines of business, train new team members as necessary, report issuance problems and/or requests for system changes, maintain policy issuance “step by step” training guides and pursue continuing insurance education.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or business experience. Insurance related educational coursework desired but not necessary.

USLI is seeking individuals who can provide service support to its Underwriting and Underwriting Assistant teams in the issuance of insurance policies, handling of broker, agent and policyholder correspondence and the processing of policy change requests. Qualified candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, be detail-oriented, have a customer service mindset and the willingness to pursue continuing insurance education, and bachelor’s degree or business experience. Insurance related educational coursework desired but not necessary.
