Job Description

Provide technical skill and knowledge for all activities and inventory involved in providing IT services and Infrastructure to the users and customers of USLI.  Maintain the security, functionality, speed, and stability of the Information Systems.

Backup and Disaster Recovery: Monitor and maintain backup to offsite vendor’s datacenter.  Maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures and improve on them moving forward.

Audit Preparation: Maintain and create documentation required for independent IT audits. Work with the auditors to provide requested information. Provide feedback resulting from auditors’ recommendations.

Documentation: Create and maintain a centralized documentation repository for infrastructure assets and processes.

Inventory Management: Maintain an up to date inventory of all infrastructure assets, including hardware, maintenance contracts, and software licensing.  Forecast end-of-life and equipment replacement needs.

Server Administration: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot various aspects of an enterprise datacenter.  Relevant technologies include Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS Server, VMware vSphere, iSCSI and Fibre Channel SAN, and Cisco products (UCS, Nexus, Catalyst, Aironet, etc.).

Knowledge of Cloud Technologies such as Azure, AWS, Google, Office 365 as well as offsite DR and Backup. 

Supervise effective resolution of users and customer’s problems related to IT Services and Infrastructure.

Research and Development: Identify emerging or alternative technologies that could be useful to the Company. Be able to adapt to changing business and technology landscapes.

Working Hours:  Must be able to be at work from 8:00 to 5:00 every weekday, be able to stay late or come in earlier and work occasional weekend with little or no notice.  On call 24x7.
