Minimum Requirements

  • At least three years prior underwriting experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal or Management & Professional Liability lines,

    OR

  • At least five years prior business experience. Successful candidates have had prior business experience in the following industries:
  1. Non-underwriting insurance experience, such as sales, claims handling
  2. Financial services, such as banking, mortgage underwriting, financial consulting, asset management, business analyst
  3. Legal services, such as attorney, paralegal

We are looking for people who can think, make good decisions and communicate clearly. Candidates must be positive, self-motivated team players with strong analytical skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Underwriters are responsible for the selection and pricing of new business risks in accordance with company service promises, objectives, underwriting guidelines and team commandments. Qualified candidates will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with customers in order to enhance our ability to achieve company goals.  Community is an important aspect of this position so it is important for this individual to understand and be able to articulate Company and Team Stories to Customers, as well as train and coach other underwriters as assigned.  Candidates must be positive, self-motivated team players with strong analytical skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. 

Minimum Requirements: College degree or equivalent business/industry experience.
