IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description
Design, implement, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions such as: computing, storage, networking, software, physical infrastructure, and virtual and cloud computing, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Scripting: Maintain and build on existing script repository utilized to automate tasks and maintain compliance.

Documentation: Maintain and build on existing documentation repository for infrastructure processes. 

Backup and Disaster Recovery: Monitor and maintain backup to offsite vendor’s datacenter.  Maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures and improve on them moving forward.

Ownership and initiative. Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical problems, ensuring that solutions continue to meet business requirements. 

Research and Development: Identify emerging or alternative technologies that could be useful to the company. Be able to adapt to changing business and technology landscapes. 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve skill set to keep pace with changing technologies.  Project Management.  Special projects and duties as required by business needs.  Ability to work independently and in a team to produce results.

Minimum Job Requirements:

College Degree or equivalent industry/technical experience.  Individual has a minimum of 5+ years in Corporate IT environment with some project management experience.  

Proficiency in infrastructure related skills including networking, Windows operating systems, virtual systems, directory services and email systems. 

Scripting and automation experience utilizing PowerShell is preferred.
