Job Description



Position Summary:
  Post cash daily, ensuring timely and accurate payments from each customer.  Preserve customer service quality standards and consistency through monthly contact with the customer.  Resolve customer questions or payment discrepancies daily to maximize financial statement reporting accuracy.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Post cash daily –

§Post payments toindividual policies accurately

§Balancebordereaux detail to the check total

§Issue inter-companycomputer checks and broker checks

§Createcommissions and invoice direct collection items accordingly

  • Resolve payment discrepancies daily –

§Contact thecustomer for invoice corrections or past due payments

§Correct ourinvoicing through premium data entry technicians

§Set up directcollection after receiving written notification from customer

§Implement the1-2-3 collection method as needed

  • Respond to voicemail and email messages the same day as they are received.  If a resolution is not possible, provide the customer with a resolution timeline.
  • Submit a monthly customer payment list and monthly contact signoff to the Accounts Receivable Leader.
 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various annual statement responsibilities as needed.

  • Cover for your accounts receivable partner in their absence.

 

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience

Specific Skills:  Basic computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook and Quickbooks, basic math skills, basic oral and written communication skills, organization, and attention to detail

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:  N/A

Working Conditions:  Weekend or evening overtime availability during the first quarter
