Job Description

USLI is looking for an energetic, detailed, number-oriented individual to join our accounting team as a Premium Data Entry Technician. This individual will be responsible for entering premium and insured information for endorsements, audits, cancellations and reinstatements while maintaining customer service standards; and processing data corrections as required by Direct Bill, Accounts Receivable and Controller to ensure accuracy in billing and reporting. A college degree or equivalent work experience is required. Candidates should possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

This position is a developmental role requiring in-person job shadowing, team building and foundational insurance education. On-site presence 75% of the time is necessary to meet the requirements of this role. Additional details may be discussed with the hiring leader.


Essential Functions:

Enter premium information, including premium amount and customer commission, state filing and internal reporting data for endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements within 5 days of receipt. Investigate any discrepancies or areas needing clarification on premium data entry items, such as incorrect premium or missing information. Enter endorsements to general policy information including policy number or effective dates, insured name and address, customer name, commission and billing information. Enter data corrections as required by Direct Bill, Accounts Receivable or the Controller to ensure that invoices, customer account currents and invoice summaries, and internal and external reports are current and accurate.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct or assist in conducting training of new employees as necessary. Provide clerical assistance to Accounts Receivable as time permits.


Specific Skills:

Must be detail oriented and possess good basic math skills, accurate typing and keypunch skills, and good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful, but is not required.


Minimum Job Requirements:

College degree or equivalent work experience.
