Job Description
Your Role:
As an Underwriting Claim and Audit Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in improving the overall performance of our company’s products. You will proactively audit the underwriting process, challenge guidelines, ensure compliance with state filings, and drive profitability and growth goals. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, IT, Operations, and Actuarial, to ensure that all products are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Audit & Compliance: Proactively audit underwriting processes across multiple product lines to ensure adherence to state filings, internal guidelines, and industry regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate product risk selection, identify areas of improvement, and recommend adjustments to underwriting guidelines.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with departments such as Underwriting, Claims, Compliance, IT, and Actuarial to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain consistency across functions.
• Data Analysis: Analyze trends and anomalies in underwriting data, using insights to recommend actionable improvements.
• Written Communication: Prepare clear and concise audit reports and recommendations, presenting findings to senior leadership in a persuasive and constructive manner.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and process gaps to enhance productivity, risk management, and profitability.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry standards, state regulations, and emerging trends in underwriting.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in underwriting, auditing, or risk analysis, in the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
