Job Title: Senior Unified Communications Engineer

Your Role: You will work closely with business teams to implement and support advanced telephony solutions, primarily focused on the migration from legacy phone systems to cloud-based solutions like Microsoft Teams Phone and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center. You’ll be responsible for system administration, troubleshooting, and project planning, contributing to the goal of building a fully integrated communications platform that aligns with our business needs. You will need to be in office 4 days a week in Wayne, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
Telephony migration: Lead the migration of legacy Mitel phone systems to cloud-based solutions, ensuring smooth transitions and continued system functionality
Advanced ACD support: Build and maintain advanced ACD phone functions to enhance system performance
Audio-visual support: Provide support for audio-visual conferencing systems including Cisco Webex and API integration
Project planning and execution: Act as a technical contributor and project driver for future cloud-based unified communications systems, ensuring full interaction between computers, phones, mobile devices, Microsoft Teams, and USLI’s in-house systems
Networking and connectivity: Diagnose and troubleshoot telephony-related network connectivity issues, specifically for remote offices and teleworkers. Configure network switches, protocols, ports, and traffic flow to ensure effective telephony and unified communications
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in telephony systems: Hands-on experience migrating from legacy phone systems to cloud-based solutions, especially Microsoft Teams Phone and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center
Technical expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting telephony and network connectivity issues, particularly for remote and teleworker users
Project management skills: Strong experience in planning and driving projects related to telephony and unified communications
Networking knowledge: In-depth understanding of networking concepts such as switches, protocols, ports, and traffic flow as they relate to telephony
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders effectively
Qualifications:
Proven experience with telephony systems migration and administration
Familiarity with advanced ACD phone functions and conferencing tools like Cisco Webex
Networking experience, especially in troubleshooting remote office and teleworker connectivity issues
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365 Contact Center, and unified communication solutions
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, with flexibility as needed for project timelines
Ability to be in office 4 days a week in Wayne, PA
